    Description

This  fantastic set of PAPER TOYs (also referr
    ed
to as a Paper Doll or Card )  was issu
    ed
by the WOOLSON SPICE CO. of Toledo Ohio as an insert premium in their brand of LION COFFEE. This series is listed as K33 in the American Card Catalogue.  The set is from a series of  Nursery Rhymes.  Each set consisted of 4 separate pieces that could be slotted together to depict a scene from the Nursery Rhyme. The backs of the cards feature advertising for Lions Coffee, Instructions on how the set goes together or the Nursery Rhyme itself.   As you can imagine often are either missing pieces or mixed up with other different sets.  They also tended to have pieces torn off during play.  The bottom also has flaps that are designed to be bent back to allow the piece to be used as a stand up doll. These flaps are often torn off through use over the years and it is tough to find a set with them still intact as this one does.  This series is Number 11 in the set and features LITTLE JACK HORNER.   The toy has some light creases at the fold back lines where is has been bent back, but other than that is free from creasing with strong color and I think displays very well.  Most importantly it is fully intact, with the all 4 parts complete.  I have scanned the set both front and back fairly large for you to be able to judge condition for yourself.
This is a rare and highly desirable cross over collectable.
    It is covet

by paper doll and toy collectors and  coffee advertising collectors,    Because of the fact that it was issu

as a toy to be play

with, and that it is fairly fragile to begin with, not many have surviv
    ed
over the 110 plus years (as it is over 100 years old it is an official American Antique) .  They are very prone to being torn apart, and finding one intact is tough.

I am actually located in Canada just across the border.  I have a U.S.A. mailing address, and I mail my items from the USA to avoid border delays.
Due to my work schedule and distance to the post office I am only able to ship  Monday Mornings
.  If I haven’t received payment for an item the EVENING BEFORE Monday  the item will have to wait until the next Monday  to go out. Its unfortunate but unavoidable.  If this doesn’t work for you I respectfully ask that you do not bid or buy. Thanks again.
I will COMBINE SHIPPING within Canada and the USA on items of similar size that are sold on the same day.
I am sorry but ebay's global shipping program does not allow combined shipping on International shipments
