1899 Trade Card for Mail Order Men's Fashion by A. Shuman & Co

Description

A trade card for A. Shuman & Co with two men standing against a railing on the cover, very well dressed, and text at the bottom listing the items being worn and their respective prices. Reverse is advertising their mail-order department, which would send a variety of items by mail, allowing a customer who can't come to their store an opportunity to choose what they, then send back what they don't want along with the payment for the garments they are keeping. They also had a system of refunds, returns and exchanges so that the by-mail customers can enjoy the same services as their regular customers. Rules for self-measurements are forwarded once you apply for the program.
