Up for sale is a set of 3 Antique Victorian Trade Card Advertisements local to Boson & Springfield, Massachusetts. And one local to New Haven, Connecticut. All cards come in a protective plastic slipcase as pictured.
E. R. Wolcott. Dining Rooms. Fruit and Ice Cream. 254 Main St, Springfield, Mass. Featuring a woman playing with her hair while looking in a mirror with a gold background. Measuring Approximately: 4 1/4" x 2 3/4".
James G. Allbe. All Kinds Of Job Printing. 134 Main St., Boston. Featuring 3 children pulling around a wheeled basket with a cherub in it and a gold background. Measuring Approximately: 2 3/4" x 4 1/8".
The Davis Has No Equal. No Cogs, No Feed Teeth, No Annoyances. Featuring a well dressed man and woman dancing. The reverse has a worn out paragraph from the original advertisement. It has a stamp on the back from a different retailer of the time period, The stamp is from New Haven, Connecticut. Measuring Approximately: 4 1/4" x 2 7/8".
The E.R. Wolcott Card has a bend on the top right corner and light wear and discoloration from age, and it has writing on the back. The James G. Allbe Card has light wear to the edges and corners and light discoloration from age. The Davis Card has light wear around the edges and corners and light discoloration from age. Otherwise all cards are in good condition, They still have good color and still display beautifully.
