Description
Hi Folks!Up for your consideration today is a Sinclair model 1-40-1S7 filter cavity:
This is perfect for 6M FM and Low Band VHF LMR use!
It has a tuning range of 37.75 MHz to 54.2 MHz.
No information available, but is certainly capable of 100 watts if not 250 watts.
This is a pass type cavity, no separate reject notch.
Item tested at 60 watts input at a roughly 2:1 SWR at 52.525 MHz per the pictures, 40 watts out into the Bird Termaline dummy load.
A spectrum analyzer/tracking generator shows about 3 dB insertion loss at resonance, with an attenuation of approximately 21.5 dB 1.6 MHz out.
The loops are adjustable, so you may be able to get more or less attenuation.
Physical dimensions are approximately 82” to the top of the cavity, and a whopping 108” (9 feet!) with the rod extended to 52.525 MHz.
Rod is slightly bent.
This is a 6” diameter cavity. Has male “N” connectors.
I’m selling the cavity as it is surplus to my needs.
Look for me to be selling more 6M/LB, 2M/150-174 MHz, and some UHF (440-470 MHz cavities and filter products.
