    Antique 19th Century Meissen Porcelain First Choice Onion Pattern Blue & White Dinner Plate
    9.5"  dia, c. 1850-1887
    Round scalloped shape.
    The famous onion pattern in blue by the Royal Manufactory Meissen.
    Blue under-glaze crossed swords mark with pommels in use c. 1850-1924 & without a dot between the blades (with dot c. 1924-1934). Also without the crossed swords mark on the front below the stalk, which was first done in 1888 & continuously thereafter, indicative of production definitely before 1887. Without any incised crossing lines indicative of first choice quality.
    Excellent condition. No damage of any kind.
