-- used to put pleating or French fluting in freshly laundered clothing. They were made of
cast iron and brass fluting rollers with a wood handle, with a built-in clamp to hold the machine to the tabletop.
They came with a lever in the front of the machine to raise and lower the bottom roller to insert or remove the garment.
These machines are found with patent dates embossed under the rollers including: 1875 / 1877 / 1879 / 1880.
