Antique Hand Painted Outsider Art XL Metal Tray/ Primitive 19th Can Toleware

Description

This is a remarkable 19th Century oil painting done on a large metal toleware style tray. It has a definite folk or outsider art style, with a couple in 19th Century fashions, plus a horse and wonderful green cat. Very unique with wonderful details, some done etched in with maybe a quill pen over the paint. It is unsigned.
In well worn antique condition with definite signs of wear and age. Most notable a large raised mark near the horse, it looks like it might have been gauge into the paint then an attempt at a repair... there is also rust and flaking to the paint. Please note it will be carefully wrapped for shipping but expect some of the paint to flake off during transit. I am open to picking this up. I'm in the Upstate area of South Carolina near Clemson College.
