This music box is from the Schmid Disney Treasures Collection.
Wow, this is a great find!
The Schmid Company is world renown for quality collectibles, and sadly went out of business in 1995.
Schmid had such a strong history of hand-crafted, hand-painted gifts, representing many years of legendary Disney tradition.
Subsequently, values of their products have risen due to high demand from collectors.
Their collectibles continue to be loved by Disney fans across the globe.
This porcelain music box is a true treasure!
The piece is big, heavy, and impressive!
The coach, transformed from a pumpkin, is now indeed beautiful in creamy white, with gold and blue highlights.
A stately white horse with blue hooves and a fancy pink plumage is pulling the coach.
The horse looks to be in motion with his left leg in a galloping position.
The coachman is in shades of blue and is pulling the reins to get Cinderella to the Prince’s Ball in time.
Inside the coach is Cinderella in all her finery.
She is dressed in her beautiful ball gown provided by her Fairy Godmother.
When we peek through the window of the carriage, we can see her iconic headband, neckband and white gloves.
There is a nice raised gold scalloped design around the base of the music box.
The ground is made to look like cobblestones.
You can close your eyes, and imagine the clippity clop of the carriage rushing to the Ball.
The music box has a shiny gloss which adds to the richness and hand painting of the music box.
Overall a beautiful and romantic music box.
Underneath there is a wind-up key.
When the music box is wound, Cinderella rotates inside her carriage to the tune “Bibbidi, Bobbidi, Boo”.

There is an on / off switch on the side of the music box.
