    Description

    At auction are FOUR different Victorian Trade Cards with text printed in German, advertising Liebig’s Extract of Meat. From their series of the rivers of Europe. Each card shows a beautiful woman in native dress looking at the city and it’s famous river: Budapest, Hungary The Donau; London, England The Thames; Paris, France The Seine; Dresden, Germany The Elbe. Each image has a different can or bottle of Liebig’s on the front. The reverse of each card is different with a line engraving of a woman or man and a bottle of Liebig’s. There are probably six cards in this series but I have only these four.
