Description
General Radio (GR) unit oscillators. Choose from one of four frequency ranges:Unit Oscillator .5-50 MHz Type 1211B output >200 mw max (adjustable)
Unit Oscillator 50-250 MHz Type 1215 output >200 mw max (adjustable)
Unit Oscillator 250-920 MHz Type 1209B output >200 mw max (adjustable)
Unit Oscillator 9000-2000 MHz Type 1218 output >200 mw max (adjustable)
Matching power supplies. Either one works with all oscillators. Regulated is more stable in frequency.
Unit Power Supply Type 1203B 300VDC 50ma, 6.3 VAC 3 amps
Unit Regulated Power Supply Type 1201B 300VDC 70ma, 6.3 VAC 4 amps
You can find free online manuals for any of these.
These have a GR type 874 connector which is hard to find these days. I will include with each oscillator
an adapter of
your choice
so you can connect with a type N, UHF, BNC or SMA cable. The power cable
is a large 4 way "Jones" plug. With each oscillator I will provide a female socket so you can use your
own power supply (6.3 V 3A, and 250 VDC 70 Ma). With each power supply I will provide a male
Jones plug so you can also use the power supply with other equipment when not using the oscillator(s).
Check the main photos for these connectors and sockets.
I was an engineer employed by GR from 1959-1962 during the heyday of these units.
Used as part of test setups for many RF measurements. Part of my job was to
configure these oscillators for various types of uses and to write up those applications.
I bought some of these during those years and have acquired others since. Part of my
bucket list is to find good homes for all of my GR stuff.
You are welcome to buy a power supply without buying an oscillator if that meets your needs.
I don't have enough supplies for all of the oscillators I will eventually list, so some of them will
have to go without a supply. Of course, if you buy two or more oscillators and one supply, you are
covered as you can easily plug in the one you are using.
If you are not delighted with these items, return for full refund, less postage. If they are
not as described/pictured, I pay the return postage also.
I have listed a generic weight which should cover any one item. E bay should charge you
postage for each item, but I will combine shipping and only charge you the actual cost.
