Large beautiful hand carved tobacco pipe, very good brass

Description

I don't know much about pipes, but this is a beautiful hand carved example, that needs to be in someone's collection.  Over 16" long tip to bowl, ~4.25" x 4.25" x 1.75" bowl with what I think are brass caps.  Depicts a wood cutter or soldier, with a forest or alpine cottage and nice scroll work.  Bavarian?  Looks to be used, but not very much.
