for Amateur radio and Crystal Radio.
Please notice, not all 660/46 Litz wires have the same spec, even they come from the same manufactory. When I first order
Xizi brand
660/46 Litz wire and
compare it with US made
Kerrigan-Lewis
brand
, the Q
factor
of Xizi brand were average 200 - 300Q lower from 500 - 1700 KHz
. I find out they have different
structure.
Then I ask the
manufactory change the
structure for my new order,
Now you can see, the Q
factor
improve a lot!
I test this
660/46 Litz wire
and able to made some very
high quality
coils, their Q factor can be reach over 1472Q on 805 KHz ( with
HP
4342A Q meter,
-3dB method )
I compare the US made
Kerrigan-Lewis
brand 660/46
Litz wire
and this new 660/46
Xizi
brand Litz wire, the
Xizi
even better than
Kerrigan-Lewis
.
Here are two coils made from
these
Litz wire with

tube. Some one checked these two coils with HP
