Description
At offer is
what I believe to be a Mezcala Culture light stone carving, circa 300 B.C. It was drilled to mount on a stand at some point. According to an accompanying letter written in 1975 this was part of a collection belonging to the famous Mexican Artist Diego M. Rivera. Rivera was also the founder of the famous
Anahuacalli Museum outside Mexico Cit
y.
This piece is just one of several that I obtained from the Estate of the former owner
as shown in the photo below
