Description
For Auction/Sale:Two RTTY Signal Display units pulled from Military gear in the past & saved for the rainy day which never came. The first up is the US Navy CV-89A CRT module, complete sans the HV rectifier tube, the JAN 1Z2 or something. This works but has been on the shelf for many, many years. The other is an odd 2AP1 holder with proper Mu metal shield. Both, for that matter, have the Mu metal shields. All the old handbooks have circuits for these.
If you are a recent hobbyist without a background in tube electronics, obtain the HAL RS2100 manual and use that to build your own RTTY display. The CV89A module might make an easier go of it. It has front panel controls for both horizontal & vertical positioning of the signal, focus control and brightness. The lower center control actually sets the CV89A shift width. Full documentation for the CV89A can be had on the web for free download.
Condition:
Good physical condition as parts units go and I doubt there is much wrong with these. The CRT's probably work but we have no way to power them short of creating a project to do same. So because of age, the nature of electrolytics, and the fact that we have no way to test these, they are sold strictly as is. The exterior, as you see, is dusty and we find no damage nor modification to it. Please study the pictures. What you see is what you get.
TERMS:
Sold as vintage collectibles that we believe are serviceable and re-deployable in the right hands. They are also sold strictly AS IS and are NOT returnable.
Shipping:
Weight is about 15 lbs; carton size abt 13 x 12 x 9 inches. This will be checked again & corrected if necessary.
NO SHIPPING TO P.O. BOXES - PHYSICAL ADDRESS & PHONE NUMBER REQUIRED.
