Nice ARC-5/CCT-52232 WWII Aircraft Transmitter 2.1-3 Mc. Ham Radio Unmodified

$ 68.63

Availability: 100 in stock

Description

This is a very nice, clean WWII-vintage ARC-5 series Aircraft Transmitter, model # CCT-52232, which covers the frequency range of 2.1 to 3.0 MHz.
It has not been tested, but appears to be in good physical condition, and unmodified. This one was manufactured by the Stromberg-Carlson Co. in Rochester, New York in 1943.
These ARC-5 Transmitters were very popular years ago for conversion to the Ham Radio HF frequency bands, used as a Transmitter or VFO. Numerous conversion articles have been published in Ham Radio magazines over the years, and CQ Magazine made a book in their Technical Series called "Command Sets" which gave many conversion and update articles. Another book is The Surplus Conversion Handbook, which is available for free on-line download, and has schematic diagrams and other information about these various ARC-5 series Transmitters and the companion receivers.
The tubes and calibration crystal are installed, and all controls move smoothly. You can often find various accessories for these ARC-5 transmitters here on eBay, such as mounting trays, BC-456 (screen) or MD-7 (plate) modulators, dynamotors, antenna current meters, and more.

Shipping will be via FedEx Ground, and the shipping charges will be .85 to CONUS ONLY locations, based on other ARC-5 transmitters that I've recently shipped.
Any International sales must use eBay's Global Shipping Program service, where I ship the units to their forwarding center in Kentucky, and eBay takes care of the necessary customs, etc. paperwork, and then they ship onward to the winning bidder. No Direct Overseas Sales!
Because of the shipping arrangements that are done out-of-state, I am not able to combine shipment of multiple items. I ship packges within five days of auction end and receipt of payment. By the time the item is put up for auction, it has already been packed for shipping.
Please understand that once I've dropped off an item to be shipped, I have no further control of when it will actually arrive at your location. Occasionally, the shipping company routes the package through some far, out-of-the-way locations which can greatly delay the shipping time, compared to what eBay quotes for delivery times.
Please see my other auction listings for Ham Radio, CB Radio and misc. Electronic items. I have several other microphones currently listed. Thanks for looking!
