    Description

    Unique sweatshirt with the logo of The Greenland Expedition that recovered a P-38 Lightning from deep in the ice of Greenland. I bought this at Oshkosh EAA Fly-In in 1992 when I met the team and saw the recovered plane on display (still in pieces). It's been washed but has been in storage for years and is in excellent condition for being 25 years old. I didn't wear it much because I didn't want it to get beat up. There is only one slight blemish in the screen printing in the middle but is in great shape otherwise. It's XL size but had shrunk in washing to a decent size large. I'm going thru things and shrinking my items so I figured I'd offer this up to anyone looking for a great piece of memorabilia from an incredible undertaking to recover the lost P-38s in Greenland.
