Description
This RL Drake Replacement Capacitor Can, is for the R-4C Receiver.
The Capacitors in this Can-Type Electrolytic Capacitor meet or exceed original factory specifications.
There are two chassis mounted capacitor cans for the R-4C, This is the Low Voltage can.
There is also a low voltage can offered in another listing.
Original Specs:
3000 uF @ 20V
1000 uF @ 20V
New Specs:
3300 uF @ 25V
1000 uF @ 35V
Twist-tab mounting. All sections rated at 105C degrees.
Capacitance and leakage tested. Cap tolerance plus or minus 20%
The vintage Drake gear is getting old and it is just a matter of time before the capacitors will fail and damage your equipment or fill your house up with smoke that really smells bad!
The key is to replace the capacitors before a failure happens.
Most of the Electrolytic Capacitors are easy to find but the chassis mounted cans are no longer available.
This custom made capacitor can is made with modern electrolytic capacitors, and will last another 40 or 50 years!
