    Description

    This is a Stunning ANTIQUE SIMON SHAPE JUG from Royal Doulton in the CYPRESS Series Ware Pattern.
    You will find a good description of CYPRESS in Louise Irvine's ROYAL DOULTON SERIES WARE- VOl 4 Pages 181-182.
    The JUG stands 7.5 ins tall and is 5 ins round.  The pattern is applied by Block Printing Process that was developed in the 1840s and used by Doulton many years after other makers had changed to lithography.   This enabled them to created these wonderfully colorful designs.
    There are NO CHIPS- NO CRACKS- NO HAIRLINES- AND NO CRAZING.
