    The orignal Profoto Overhead 5/8" Stand Adapter (mfr# 101079) of the Profoto Acute Head and ProHead is a good example of bad mechnical design, which does not work long under everyday using condition.

    Overhead 5/8" Stand Adapter for Profoto Acute Head and ProHead, photographer and photography assistant now are able to use their Profoto Prohead in a much easier way. This adapter is designed for mounting Profoto, or other strobe heads or monolights with a 5/8" female mount. For improved aiming of the light head over a stud alone, the length on this adapter provides a small distance from an overhead pipe or boom.
    That Overhead 5/8" Stand Adapter are made of light-weight aircraft aluminum and anodized black. Its big observation hole let you know where your Profoto Prohead is going on a light stand when mounting. Its dual M6 screw holes longers its life.
    Just replace the original Profoto Overhead 5/8" Stand Adapter of the Profoto Acute Head and ProHead with the StellarDesign's, and your lighting works will be easier than ever.
