For a worthwhile improvement to the frequency stability and accuracy of your Kenwood TS-870, TS-450, TS-850, TS-570, TS-950, TS-50 and any other Kenwood rig that accepts the SO-2 TCXO, try one of my aftermarket TCXO boards- shipped. This handbuilt unit fits in the factory location on the PLL board of your rig; check your manual for installation technique (requires soldering). Unit is designed around a small commercial high-quality circuit board, with all-SMD construction using solder paste reflow equipment. The original Kenwood SO-2s have been out of production for many years, and are now scarce and expensive.
