Description
Had to raise the price again due to the cost of the mics I purchase to make these. You can use Wires-X without having to purchase expensive radio gear. You don't have to purchase the FTM-400, FTM100DR, or the FT-2DR radios to use the Wires-X modem.
T
he Wires-X Microphone plugs directly into the Yaesu HRI-200 Modem and uses the Wires-X software to communicate with other Wires-X modem users. Set up the HRI-200 modem and plug the mic into the modem and begin talking with other Wires-X stations. I have sold over 130 of these mics with very good reports from users.
The Mic is constructed from strong ABS plastic and is brand new. The circuit board has been modified with new components to match the impedance of the HRI-200's input. It has a 6 foot recoil type cord with the Yaesu factory 10 pin mini din plug on the end.
This microphone is wired to interface directly with your HRI-200 Wires-X Modem. It uses a 9 volt battery (
not supplied)
for the microphone preamp. It has a frequency response that matches the specs for the HRI-200 modem.
If you install a mono 3.5mm plug in place of the stereo one on your computer speakers cable you can still hear everything on the internet and other audio through the audio codec of the HRI-200 without having two sets of speakers.
Y
ou have to use a set of powered speakers plugged into the speaker jack on the HRI-200 when using the Microphone to hear the audio
. T
he HRI-200 has a mono output so you would need a powered mono speaker or use a stereo to mono adapter on your stereo computer speakers.
It has great audio with an adjustable gain control on the back of the mic as well as using the settings in the HRI-200 software.
The audio is exceptional with 100 percent good reports. I have had noting but great reports from every contact I have made with them and from other users of the mic.
Enclosed in the shipment is
complete setup instructions along with the mic.
I support all my buyers with help setting up if you run into problems.
There is info on how to make a mic for yourself out on the web but my microphones are built and tested and I guarantee them to work. I've done the hard part so you can enjoy Wires-X.
It's a great analog input device for connecting directly to the HRI-200 if you don't want to spend the money on an expensive radio.
Thanks for looking hope to hear you on Wires-X
